Jam eater MagnetA jam eater is a mild insult that is unique to the West Cumbrian towns of Whitehaven & Workington.There has always been a “friendly” rivalry between these 2 towns. Both have strong Rugby League teams and both towns provided workers for the many coal mines in the area. Each town refers to the residents of the other town as Jam eaters, for example: “Thoos a jam eater marra, Yer canna only av jam in thee bait”. Which when translated means “You are so poor my friend that you can only afford to have jam in the sandwiches that you take into work for your packed lunch”.We have 2 different options, The first design feature the local black faced sheep.
