A bright flower suncatcher. Based on a Succulent but an entirely abstract design. Stained Glass hand-crafted using the Tiffany Copper-foil technique. I’ve formed the petals of the flower round a rather amazoing dichroic nugget I fused in my kiln. The central 5 petals are orange-yellow. Then there are 5 internal green leaves and the rest of the flower is formed from 18 petals, all differently shaped in shades of red, sky blue, purple and turquoise. I’ve used lots of textured and streaky glass to give the piece lots of movement and interest when it catches the light. Like all my suncatchers it is designed to hang in the window but this piece looks equally good hanging as a small picture on the wall. The suncatcher hangs from a little chain which is securely attached to the top of the flower which is 14cm in diameter. This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass. It hangs from a little sivery chain and I supply it with a strong suction hook so it is all ready to hang. Made by Joy and entirely handmade with love. Postage is via Royal Mail tracked 24.
