Description An unusual blue steampunk mug and plate set. This large mug is square at the base and circular at the top. Ideal father’s day gift for geeky dads! Approximate size: Mug: 10 cm diameter at top, square base 8 x 8 cm – Height 10 cm Capacity to the rim 440ml Plate: 13.5 x 15 cm / 5.5” x 6” Microwave and dishwasher safe, but prefers limited use for extra durability. Process: I used parts from my old Apple laptop to imprint the pattern on slabs of clay. I stained it with cobalt oxide and applied glazes before firing it at 1200°C. Et voilà! Some areas are left purposefully unglazed. Designed and handmade by Marion Walsh.
